Workday Payroll/HCM Functional Consultant Remote / Telecommute Jobs

We are seeking an experienced Workday Payroll/HCM Functional Consultant to support a large Public Sector client. This consultant will play a critical role in working with stakeholders to prototype solutions and guide the client on how they can use Workday to improve business processes.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in Workday Payroll and HCM implementations and a strong understanding of client business drivers, and the ability to translate requirements into clear solutions for diverse audiences.

This role is primarily remote, with occasional onsite presence needed in the Southeast Region.

Responsibilities
Lead the design, solutioning, and configuration of Workday HCM and Payroll modules
Drive end-to-end implementation activities including requirements gathering, system configuration, testing, and deployment
Conduct and facilitate client meetings to guide decision-making and drive project milestones
Provide subject matter expertise on Workday HCM and Payroll best practices, enhancements, and optimization opportunities
Lead workshops, demos, and meetings to support consensus-building around business processes and system design
Lead workstream activities including system configuration, testing, and documentation
Collaborate with client subject matter experts to understand current processes and future state requirements
Support data validation, testing cycles, and end-user training activities
Contribute to the development of project deliverables including process documentation, configuration guides, and training materials

Qualifications
5+ years of experience driving implementations & configurations of Workday Core HR and Payroll modules
Completed at least three full lifecycle implementations
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, translating technical concepts into clear business language for diverse audiences
Bachelor's degree
