With advances in veterinary medicine, pets now have access to the most effective treatments available, making pet insurance an essential component of modern pet care.</p> <h3><strong>About the Role</strong></h3> <p><strong>Overview</strong></p> <p>The Underwriting Operations Analyst is part of the Operations function within the Insurance team, reporting into the SVP of Insurance Operations. This role provides cross functional support to multiple functional areas at Fetch, including Underwriting, Compliance, Service, and Claims. This role is a good fit for you if you want to learn more about and get involved in the inner workings of the insurance operations here at Fetch.<br><br><strong>Location<br></strong><br>Remote (U.S.)</p> <h3>Key Responsibilities</h3> <p>Primary Responsibilities: </p> <ul> <li>Coordinate the response to service escalations, including investigation of the escalation, drafting the referral, obtaining approval, and documenting direction to service staff. </li> <li>Perform root cause analysis and reporting of service escalations to identify opportunities for improvement.</li> <li>Operational and Underwriting Excellence <ul> <li>Aid cross functional teams to identify and support training needs for company and product.</li> <li>Help identify and write Underwriting manuals and SOP’s. </li> <li>Assist in the identifying and development of Operations Reporting.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Conduct screening process for Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI) referrals in the United States and Canada and provide required reporting to the insurance carrier.</li> <li>Complete the underwriting referral process for suspicious claims activity and execute any resulting underwriting action in partnership with Platform Operations.</li> <li>Conduct and support monthly review of Bordereaux reporting for the insurance carrier.</li> <li>Support and conduct internal audits, and aid in the annual underwriting and claims audits, including file gathering, general support, and coordination with the insurance carrier.</li> <li>Monitor and process CCPA requests.</li> </ul> <p>Secondary Responsibilities:  </p> <ul> <li>Support the investigation of all regulatory complaints, working closely with the Compliance Specialist.</li> <li>Conduct proactive monitoring of the competitor landscape on filed products and filing activity. </li> <li>Conduct ad hoc research and/or projects as needed (e.g emerging issues, competitor changes).</li> </ul> <h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree preferred, and/or 5+ years of experience in the P&C insurance industry</li> <li>Pet Insurance and/or Insurtech experience is a plus </li> <li>Exhibit general knowledge regarding insurance, operations, policy forms,  IT applications, and regulatory compliance requirements</li> <li>Ability to effectively leverage resources to solve problems independently</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines</li> <li>Intellectually curious with a desire to learn and improve processes</li> <li>Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels</li> <li>Ability to independently analyze and resolve complex issues </li> <li>Ability to research topics, organize information, and clearly communicate findings</li> </ul> <h3>Compensation</h3> <ul> <li>The pay range for this position is<strong> $70,000 - $75,000</strong> on a full-time basis</li> <li>Along with base salary, your position may qualify for additional bonuses</li> <li>This position is eligible for the Company’s bonus plan(s)</li> </ul> <h3>Why Join Fetch</h3> <ul> <li>Be part of a mission-driven company that values creativity, innovation, transparency, and collaboration</li> <li>When in office, enjoy complimentary lunch daily, and pets are always welcome</li> <li>Join a team that genuinely cares about creating a positive, inclusive work environment where everyone can thrive</li> </ul> <h3>Benefits & Perks</h3> <p>At Fetch, we recognize the importance of work-life balance and prioritize our employees' mental health and well-being, ensuring everyone can flourish both professionally and personally.
