Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments.
  • Assist surgeons during operative procedures, passing instruments and supplies.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and ensure safety throughout surgery.
  • Administer medications, anesthesia support, and IV fluids as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control and aseptic techniques.
  • Educate patients and families on preoperative and postoperative care.
  • Travel to various hospitals and surgical centers for temporary assignments.

Qualifications

  • Education: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in the Operating Room (OR).
  • Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; CNOR preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency in surgical instrumentation, aseptic techniques, and patient monitoring.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long hours and assist with patient positioning.
  • Travel Readiness: Open to temporary travel assignments.
