This is a remote position.<br><br>About the Venue<br>Velvet Elk is a music and cultural destination in the heart of Boulder, CO - a place people choose to go, not just somewhere they end up because a show is happening. We’re building a brand around great live music, great drinks, and great food, and we want a booker who understands how talent decisions shape that identity, not just fills a calendar.<br><br>What You’ll Own:<br>• Source, negotiate, and confirm touring and headliner acts<br>• Build a calendar that balances draw, brand fit, and venue identity - we’re looking for artists who create real pull and elevate the room, not just fill a date<br>• Maintain and grow relationships with agents and artist representation<br>• Light coordination with our events/catering lead to keep the full calendar aligned<br>• Collaborate on booking strategy - outside of a small number of pre-announced prime music dates that are yours to book independently, this is a partnership, not a solo call<br><br>What Success Looks Like:<br>• 2-3 sold-out shows per week (200 tickets @ $15 - $50 depending on act)<br>• Bookings that build the brand, not just sell tickets - headliners and acts that create genuine draw and reinforce Velvet Elk as a destination<br>• Fully remote though being around for shows is fun and encouraged!<br>• Two 45-minute planning meetings per month (currently Wednesdays, flexible based on schedule)<br><br>Who We’re Looking For:<br><br>• Established relationships with agents and touring artists - this role favors existing industry connections over a cold start<br>• Someone who thinks about programming strategically, not just transactionally<br>• Strong communicator who can work independently but stay aligned with venue leadership<br><br>Interested?
