Staff Accountant (Remote)

Staff Accountant Needed Celero Commerce is seeking a driven and detail-focused Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting accurate financial reporting, assisting with month-end close, and helping ensure the organization’s financial operations run smoothly. Responsibilities • Support the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards • Assist with month-end close processes, including journal entry preparation and balance sheet reconciliations • Partner with cross-functional teams to collect and evaluate financial data that supports reporting and business decisions • Review accounts payable and accounts receivable activity for accuracy and completeness • Develop recurring reports and schedules to aid in financial analysis • Respond to inquiries from internal teams and external partners in a timely and professional manner • Maintain organized and accurate financial records in compliance with applicable regulations • Provide support to Senior Accountants, leadership, and related functions (including AP and AR) on projects and ad hoc requests • Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to greater efficiency and accuracy • Leverage accounting systems and tools to manage and track financial data effectively • Assist with additional accounting responsibilities as needed across the team Experience & Requirements • 2+ years of professional experience in an accounting or finance-related role • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards • Experience using accounting software and Excel for analysis and reporting • Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment • High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy • Clear and effective communication skills for working across teams • Ability to navigate ambiguity, think critically, and contribute to business-impacting solutions • A strong sense of ownership and commitment to acting in the best financial interest of the organization • We are currently unable to consider applicants residing in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, or Washington.
