The Role As a Senior Tax Analyst at Lumen, you will be responsible for assisting the Federal Tax team with preparation and filing of federal and international income tax returns. You will also assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations, annual federal extensions and quarterly income tax estimated payments, and support the planning team. The Main Responsibilities • Preparation of corporate federal income tax return filings • Working knowledge of US and international income tax compliance, including preparation of forms 5471, 8858, 8865 • Preparation of various components of the quarterly and year end federal tax provisions with technical understanding of ASC 740 • Strong technical working knowledge of corporate taxation in complex multi-jurisdictional corporation • Perform federal research and assist with income tax planning • Ability to identify automation opportunities and implement identified strategies • Exceptional ability to develop and use collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals • Liaison with accounting, and treasury departments to obtain and analyze necessary tax information • Assist audit team with income tax audit requests • Opportunities to take on lead tax project roles • Other duties as assigned What We Look For in a Candidate • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent education and experience • 3+ years related experience • Strong accounting and analytical skills • Interest in technology and its use in business processes, or the desire to learn and use technology systems • Strong computer and systems skills - Tax software (preferably Corptax), Excel, Word, Alteryx, SAP, OneStream, Power Pivot, Power Query • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills • Self-motivated, work well in a team environment, detail oriented, and ability to multi-task • CPA not required but preferred (or in progress) What to Expect Next Requisition # 329516 When applying for a position, you may be subject to a background screen (criminal records check, motor vehicle report, and/or drug screen), depending on the requirements for the position.
