Sr FP&A Systems & Data Financial Analyst- REMOTE

Job Details CNO Financial Group is hiring a Sr Financial Analyst (FP&A) to analyze financial and operational data to support financial planning, operating expense management, and FP&A systems. This role will prepare various deliverables for both internal and external financial reporting needs, including but not limited to quarterly GAAP and STAT reporting, monthly earnings and expense analysis, and plan and forecast activities. The Sr Financial Analyst, FP&A will design, build, and maintain selfservice dashboards and analytical models (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) that enable leaders to monitor performance, identify trends, and make timely decisions. As a Sr Financial Analyst, your responsibilities will include • Develop and automate data pipelines using tools such as Alteryx or similar ETL solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of FP&A reporting processes. • Day to day system administration and coordination with IT to manage data in FP&A systems • Prepare, analyze and report detailed expense reporting, including tracking actual performance against budget and forecast by account, cost center, function and project. • Prepare and analyze information for inclusion in monthly internal business review materials. • Perform other month end/quarter end accounting processes, such as preparing and posting journal entries and monitoring accounts for unusual trends and/or fluctuations. • Prepare and analyze other quarterly reporting in support of internal and external management meetings. • Analyze key performing metrics and provide strategic insights based on the analysis. • Performs ad hoc analysis. • Maintain adequate documentation and controls over existing processes. • Assist in training and development of analysts The Sr Financial Analyst position is well-suited for you if you • Solve problems with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at once. • Energetically approach the role with a sense of urgency and commitment to continuous improvement. • Experience building dashboards, automating analysis, or modernizing FP&A reporting using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or similar technologies • Demonstrate excellent quantitative, analytical and financial skills, with strong attention to detail. • Have advanced Microsoft Excel and Power Points skills, Tableau and Alteryx a plus. • Possess a customer service mindset that collaborates effectively across the organization. • Display strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to draft clear and effective management presentations. • Work well with all levels of the organization. What you'll need • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; Master's degree preferred. • At least 5 years of related Financial Analysis work experience • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power Points skills, Tableau and Alteryx a plus. • Extract, transform, and concatenate data from various key financial systems and tools for analysis (Hyperion, Essbase, Concur, Business Objects and Microsoft suite).
