SENIOR MANAGER, TECHNCIAL SERVICES (JB/KL) [Job ]

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of technical services strategies to align with data center uptime objectives
  • Advise senior management on infrastructure upgrades, lifecycle planning, and capital expenditure.
  • Oversee capacity planning efforts and ensuring financial discipline through careful tracking of expenditures and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Ensure smooth operations of all critical infrastructure systems, including power, cooling, fire suppression, and monitoring, ensuring 24/7 system availability and prompt incident response.
  • Monitor key metrics such as KPIs, SLAs, and uptime, while driving service improvements and optimizing technical, human, and financial resource allocation.
  • Manage and develop engineers, technicians, and vendor partners by setting clear goals, monitoring performance, and fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • Oversee workforce planning and training, ensuring that staffing levels and capabilities are aligned with both day-to-day operations and future project needs.
  • Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs, managing vendor contracts, and ensuring maintenance activities are completed efficiently with minimal risk of downtime.
  • Plan and deliver infrastructure upgrades, expansions, and fit-outs, ensuring all works meet quality, budget, and timeline expectations.
  • Liaise across design, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure successful execution.
  • Lead root cause analyses and implement corrective actions,
  • Maintain and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and workplace safety requirements.
  • Maintain thorough documentation for audits and certifications.
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders, support customer onboarding processes, address technical concerns, and ensure high levels of client satisfaction and trust in service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma with at least 10 years of experience in budgeting and cost management, and 5 years in managerial or strategic roles, preferably in data centre or critical environment.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, design standards and technical specifications, with high level of accuracy and attention to detail in execution and documentation.
  • Proficiency in leading team, vendors, and projects in 24/7 environment.
  • Familiarity with industry standards & sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives (Uptime Tier, TIA-942, Singapore Standards, GreenMark etc.)
  • Experience in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Positive proactive attitude and ethical behaviour.
  • Team player with ability to work independently and resolve challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills.
