Job ID 324567 Job Title SAP Federal Financials and Funds Management Analyst Job Category Engineering Time Type Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start None Employee Type Regular Percentage of Travel Required Up to 10% Type of Travel Local • * * The Opportunity We are seeking a highly skilled SAP FI/CO/FM Functional Analyst to support the Agile Transportation Management (TM) Team as part of the Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS), a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation program. This role is focused on delivering modernized federal financial management and funds control capabilities that directly support global transportation and logistics operations. You will work within an Agile team to design, configure, and optimize SAP financial processes, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and auditability standards. This position requires a strong blend of SAP functional expertise, federal financial knowledge, and Agile delivery experience, along with the ability to operate independently and contribute to mission-critical system implementation. Responsibilities SAP Financials & Funds Management (FI/CO/FM) • Serve as a functional expert across SAP S/4HANA Finance, with emphasis on General Ledger (GL) and Universal Journal, Accounts Payable (AP) / Accounts Receivable (AR), Cost Center Accounting and Internal Orders, Funds Management (FM) including budget control, funds availability, and execution tracking • Configure and support SAP financial processes to ensure accurate financial posting, traceability, and compliance. • Align financial processes with transportation and logistics operational workflows within the TM environment. Federal Financials & Compliance • Ensure SAP solutions comply with federal financial management requirements, including Budgetary control and funds execution, Auditability and traceability standards, Financial reporting and reconciliation • Support compliance with frameworks such as FIAR (Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness) and DoD financial policies. • Identify and resolve control gaps, audit risks, and data integrity issues. Agile Delivery & Product Support • Operate as a core member of an Agile delivery team, participating in Sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives • Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional designs. • Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to prioritize financial capabilities and enhancements. • Deliver iterative system improvements aligned with program milestones and mission needs. Requirements Analysis & Solution Design • Analyze business requirements and perform fit-gap assessments against SAP S/4HANA capabilities. • Develop functional specifications and configuration designs that meet both operational and compliance requirements. • Recommend solutions that balance standard SAP functionality with program-specific needs. Testing, Validation & Deployment • Support and execute functional testing, including system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT). • Validate financial data accuracy, funds control logic, and reporting outputs. • Assist in deployment activities, including cutover planning and production support. Cross-Functional Integration • Collaborate with other functional areas including Transportation Management (TM), Asset Accounting (AA), Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), and logistics teams. • Ensure seamless integration of financial processes with supply chain, asset, and transportation workflows. Data Integrity, Reporting & Reconciliation • Support financial data governance, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems. • Assist in development and validation of financial reports, reconciliations, and audit artifacts. • Troubleshoot and resolve financial discrepancies and system issues. Continuous Improvement • Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, improve system usability, and strengthen compliance posture. • Recommend and implement configuration or process improvements based on user feedback and operational data. Qualifications • Active Secret security clearance • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or related field • 5–8+ years of SAP FI/CO functional experience, with strong emphasis on Funds Management (FM) • Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations or support • Strong knowledge of federal financial management processes and compliance requirements • Experience working in DoD or federal government environments • Hands-on experience working in Agile delivery environments • Ability to analyze complex financial processes and translate them into SAP solutions • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills Preferred • Experience supporting transportation or logistics-related financial processes • Familiarity with FIAR compliance and audit remediation efforts • Experience integrating SAP Finance with modules such as TM, EAM, MM, and SD • Experience with Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe) A “Secret” clearance is required to begin employment. Pay Range There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
