Mission and Vision

Our mission at Softengine is short, sweet, and directly to the point.

It is to Make Business Simple.

Our Core Values:

  • Collaborative
  • Driven
  • Transparent
  • Innovative
  • Customer Centric

About the role

Softengine is hiring a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to fuel new business pipeline for our Account Executive team. You'll own top-of-funnel activity — researching and mapping target accounts, running outbound prospecting campaigns, and setting qualified meetings — across Softengine's SAP Business One and Acumatica ERP portfolio and strategic industry verticals (e.g.: food & beverage, manufacturing, distribution, construction, field service). This is a great fit for someone early in their tech sales career who wants to build a foundation in complex B2B selling, with a clear growth path toward an Account Executive role.

What you'll do

  • Partner with assigned Account Executives to build and execute account plans and territory maps for target accounts within Softengine's ideal customer profile.
  • Research and map target accounts — identifying key stakeholders (e.g.: CFO, owners, Operations and IT leaders), org structure, and buying signals.
  • Run multi-channel outbound prospecting campaigns — cold calls, email sequences, and LinkedIn/social outreach — to generate net-new pipeline.
  • Qualify inbound leads and outbound responses against ICP and qualification criteria before handing off to Account Executives.
  • Schedule and hand off qualified discovery calls and demos to AEs, with clean, detailed handoff notes.
  • Maintain accurate activity, pipeline, and account data in the CRM.
  • Collaborate with marketing on campaign follow-up, content offers, and lead-scoring feedback.
  • Track and report on outbound performance — activity volume, connect rates, meetings booked, and meeting-to-opportunity conversion.
  • Stay current on ERP market trends, competitive landscape, and Softengine's SAP Business One and Acumatica offerings to speak credibly with prospects.

Qualifications

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 3-5 years of sales or business development experience in the technology sector — SaaS, Cloud, Infrastructure, or ERP required.
  • Proven track record of outbound prospecting, pipeline generation, and hitting or exceeding quota in a competitive, fast-moving environment.
  • Comfortable with account planning, account mapping, and researching multi-stakeholder B2B organizations.
  • Fluency in using AI tools and technologies in day to day life
  • Confident, clear communicator — skilled at cold-calling, objection handling, and speaking with owners, C-suite, and decision-makers.
  • Experience with CRM and sales engagement/prospecting tools.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

What Makes You Successful Here

  • A genuine will-to-win mindset — competitive, hungry, and motivated by beating targets.
  • Execution-driven: you move fast, take ownership, and don't wait for perfect instructions.
  • Resourceful and analytical, with a knack for breaking down problems and finding new angles to open doors.
  • Thrives in a high-autonomy, high-accountability role — self-motivated and organized enough to run a high-volume outbound cadence independently in a remote environment, while staying coachable.
  • Curious and quick to learn how different verticals and workflows actually operate.
