This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned tax professional looking to leverage their skills and experience in a dynamic and challenging role. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing a wide range of tax-related activities, including state and local income tax, tax research and consulting, and 754 elections. Compensation $180K - 300K Extremely Competitive Benefits Package 5-15% year over year raises Unlimited PTO Job Details Responsibilities Provide leadership and strategic direction to our tax department, ensuring compliance with state and local income tax laws. Conduct comprehensive tax research and provide consulting services to our clients, helping them navigate complex tax issues. Manage 754 elections, ensuring accurate and timely filings. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement tax strategies that align with our business objectives. Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and provide guidance on the potential impact on our business operations. Serve as a subject matter expert on tax-related matters, providing training and guidance to team members as needed. Qualifications LLM in Taxation required. JD and CPA certifications are strongly preferred. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a tax-related role, preferably within the finance industry. In-depth knowledge of state and local income tax laws, tax research and consulting, and 754 elections. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team. Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax laws and regulations. High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex tax-related information to a variety of audiences. Proficiency in tax software and other relevant technology. Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
