[Remote] Senior QA Engineer I & II Platform, Quality Engineering

They are seeking a Senior QA Engineer I or II to ensure the reliability and operational excellence of their platform capabilities, collaborating with various engineering teams to enhance quality strategies and automation. Responsibilities Partner with engineering teams throughout discovery, refinement, design, development, testing, and release activities Ensure requirements are testable, measurable, and operationally sound Identify functional, integration, performance, reliability, security, and operational quality risks early in the development lifecycle Develop comprehensive testing strategies and validation approaches that support scalable platform capabilities Contribute to reusable quality engineering patterns, standards, and best practices across Platform Engineering Improve release readiness, operational confidence, and overall engineering quality Design, build, maintain, and execute automated testing solutions across frontend, backend, API, integration, workflow, and distributed systems Collaborate closely with software engineers to embed automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and delivery workflows Expand automation coverage while improving maintainability, reliability, and execution efficiency Support validation of cloud-native architectures, event-driven systems, and shared platform services Contribute to resiliency testing, operational validation, monitoring verification, and production readiness activities Design and execute performance, scalability, resiliency, and operational testing strategies Analyze test results and identify performance bottlenecks, reliability risks, and optimization opportunities Partner with engineering teams to establish measurable quality objectives and operational benchmarks Help drive platform reliability, scalability, and operational excellence initiatives Partner with Product Managers, Technical Leads, Architects, UX teams, and software engineers throughout the product lifecycle Participate in design reviews and technical discussions from a quality engineering perspective Communicate testing approaches, quality risks, validation results, and operational considerations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Contribute to a culture of continuous learning, shared ownership, and engineering excellence Support and mentor fellow engineers while helping elevate quality practices across the organization Leverage modern AI-assisted development and testing tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and emerging technologies to accelerate testing, automation, troubleshooting, analysis, and documentation Apply strong engineering judgment when evaluating, refining, and validating AI-generated outputs Use AI to improve productivity while maintaining high standards for reliability, maintainability, governance, security, and operational integrity Champion thoughtful and responsible use of AI across quality engineering practices Skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience 5+ years of quality engineering or software testing experience for Senior QA Engineer I 8+ years of quality engineering or software testing experience for Senior QA Engineer II Experience designing and executing comprehensive testing strategies for complex features, APIs, integrations, and distributed systems Strong expertise in test automation and modern quality engineering practices Experience identifying quality risks and improving release confidence within engineering teams Ability to mentor peers and contribute to quality engineering best practices Demonstrated success collaborating across cross-functional Agile teams Experience leveraging AI-assisted development or testing tools to improve efficiency and quality outcomes Deep expertise across functional, integration, performance, resiliency, operational, and automation testing disciplines for Senior QA Engineer II Experience leading
