They are seeking a Regional Sales Director to drive distribution and convert retirement plans within the assigned region, focusing on building strategic partnerships and managing a robust sales pipeline. Responsibilities Identify, develop, and convert strategic partnerships with RIA Aggregators, Broker/Dealers, TPAs, Payroll Providers, Banks, and other key partners within your sales region Develop, own, and manage a robust retirement plan sales pipeline, leveraging existing relationships and proactively prospecting for new clients, including strategic outreach and cold calling Consulting with prospects about possible plan features or plan types that may align with their workforce and assessing whether a standalone plan or aggregated plan would work best for the prospect's demographics and business goals Convert retirement plan opportunities into sales, applying judgment and strategic thinking through a repeatable, scalable process in partnership with your internal sales team Deliver product demonstrations and maintain deep expertise in retirement plan record-keeping, administration, and technology, serving as a trusted advisor to prospects and clients Design and manage hand-off processes to Vestwell’s implementation and client success teams, ensuring a seamless client experience that drives repeat business Own and deliver on plan sales and revenue targets, exercising discretion in prioritization and approach to achieve results Maintain accountability for plan sponsor revenue generation within your region, influencing outcomes through relationship management, strategic execution, and cross-functional collaboration Skills 5+ years in a B2B sales, preferably in retirement, FinTech, wealth, or a similar industry Intimate knowledge of how retirement plan advisors build, manage, and grow their practice Clear understanding and ability to articulate partnerships across multiple channels Consistent track record managing and leading sales regions and exceeding sales targets Ability to carry a plan sale over the entire sales cycle from prospecting to conversion Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating a top-notch selling environment and processes Excellent written & verbal communication skills are a must Experience developing cold calling prospect lists Travel required 50-70% of the time Experience selling retirement plan record-keeping and administration is a very, very strong plus Previous coverage of the small and emerging corporate retirement plan market Previously covered the sales region being hired Strong understanding of what a record-keeper, TPA, and 3(16) administrator does Any FS certifications are a plus, eg Series 65, Series 7, CFA, etc Benefits Comprehensive health benefits Generous time off A dedicated Employee Wellbeing Committee Our hybrid work model offers flexibility while providing access to our collaborative offices in Midtown Manhattan, Austin, King of Prussia, and Scottsdale A competitive 401(k) plan Company Overview Vestwell is a digital savings platform that offers and manages a range of savings and retirement plans.
