The role involves explaining real-world workflows in product development, focusing on requirements translation, design, validation, and decision-making processes. Responsibilities Translating requirements into mechanical, electrical, firmware-interface, and validation plans Managing BOM, design-for-cost, DFM/DFA inputs, design reviews, and revision control Executing EVT/DVT build validation, defect root cause, corrective action, and readiness decisions Handling design changes, ECOs, sustaining fixes, and component substitutions after launch Explaining workflows specifically within requirements translation, industrial/mechanical/electrical design, engineering builds, validation, ECOs, and sustaining design changes Skills 7+ years in hardware product development, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or product engineering Direct, hands-on experience in requirements translation, industrial/mechanical/electrical design, engineering builds, validation, ECOs, and sustaining design changes Experience making or influencing decisions related to design feasibility, cost tradeoffs, design-review approval, prototype readiness, defect disposition, ECO approval, and technical risk Familiarity with tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, Altium, Cadence, Jira, Arena PLM, Agile PLM, Git, test reports, BOM tools, ECO workflows Strong ability to clearly explain workflows, decisions, and reasoning Experience owning or directly executing these workflows in a real production environment Experience working cross-functionally with HR, legal, payroll, finance, HRIS, business leaders, people managers, or compensation committee stakeholders as relevant to the workflow Benefits Remote Participants will control their own schedule May participate in other opportunities as they choose Company Overview LinkedIn is a professional networking site that allows users to create business connections, search for jobs, and find potential clients.
