They are seeking a Principal Data Scientist to act as the senior technical authority within a data science team, owning core AI capabilities and delivering production-grade AI systems. Responsibilities End-to-end development of AI/ML capabilities, from research and design through to production deployment Generative AI solutions for structuring and generating complex, domain-specific content Data-driven improvements to customer-facing AI tools, including personalization and adaptive experiences Model performance, experimentation, and continuous optimization using real-world data Contributions to system architecture and best practices for scalable machine learning systems Close collaboration with engineering on MLOps, deployment pipelines, and production readiness Skills PhD in Statistics or a highly quantitative field Strong experience with Generative AI, particularly in personalization, content generation, or applied modeling Proven ability to work with complex, messy datasets and apply rigorous statistical methods High proficiency in Python and modern data science ecosystems Demonstrated end-to-end project ownership, with clear examples of taking work from research to production Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts across technical and non-technical audiences Experience with MLOps and deploying models into production environments Familiarity with AWS, Databricks, or similar platforms Experience working on large-scale, user-facing digital platforms Exposure to domains involving structured knowledge, content systems, or learning environments Company Overview Harnham has actively chosen to focus on Data and Analytics.
