[Remote] Network Security Engineer - Fortinet

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Insight Global is seeking a Network Security Engineer specializing in Fortinet technologies. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the support of Managed Services Infrastructure security, ensuring the planning, implementation, and operational support for security platforms and network systems.


Responsibilities

  • Under minimal supervision, this engineer will be responsible for translating functional business requirements into a technical solution that conforms to global design standards
  • Research developments in their assigned technology disciplines, determines business requirements, proposes changes, and develops migration and implementation plans as needed
  • Understand and effectively articulate the implications and impact that proposed architectural changes will have on the business
  • Develop lab scenarios to mock user environments and test components of proposed solutions
  • Install, test, maintain, and upgrade security systems software and hardware and supporting network equipment in accordance with department policies
  • Understand and effectively articulate the implications involving PCI, SSAE16 SOC and FISMA compliance including direct involvement with auditors

Skills

  • Bachelor degree and minimum of 5 years' experience; or 7+ years of relevant work experience with security platforms and compliance programs
  • Proven leadership skills in an enterprise security or network role
  • Experience planning and implementing enterprise security solutions using Fortinet firewalls including NextGen features; DLP, URL Filtering, AD Integration
  • Significant experience with patching and upgrading Fortinet firewalls
  • Experience with Forti-Manager and Fortigate firewalls
  • Implementation, troubleshooting and BGP routing on routers and port allocation, port-channeling and trunking configuration on switches. Experience in PCI, ISO 27001, SSAE16 SOC and FISMA compliance
  • ITIL v4 Foundation certification achieved within the first 6 months of start date
  • Fortinet and/or Cisco, Checkpoint certifications. Experience with FortiGuard and FortiManager
  • Experience with Splunk, Device 42 and Nessus platforms
  • Experience with CyberArk Digital Vault implementations
  • F5 ASM administration and support experience
  • Experience in Cloud operations or architecture
  • IT experience with Linux, Windows, Active Directory
