The Financial Analyst Senior role involves performing advanced financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making, budgeting, and regulatory compliance, while also mentoring staff and leading complex financial projects. Responsibilities Lead advanced financial analysis and reporting to support strategic initiatives, capital planning, and organizational goals Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models for cash forecasting, capital planning, treasury management, and scenario analysis Conduct benchmarking, KPI analysis, and variance reporting to identify trends, risks, and opportunities Oversee budgeting processes, cost accounting, and productivity standards; provide recommendations for process improvements Apply government reimbursement rules (e.g., Medicare/Medicaid) and ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements Lead or coordinate complex financial projects, including business development assessments, program reviews, and reconciliation variances Research and document technical accounting issues serve as a resource for interpreting new accounting standards and regulatory changes Mentor accounting staff, provide financial systems training, and support professional development within the finance team Present complex financial information and recommendations to senior leadership; collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments and external stakeholders Drive process improvements and implement best practices in financial analysis, reporting, and systems utilization Skills Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or related field 5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis or accounting, with demonstrated leadership or project management experience Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Strong communication and presentation abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systems Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines Ability to handle confidential information and work under pressure Master's Degree CPA or CMA or CFP Experience in healthcare Proficiency in Kodiak, Epic, Workday Advanced Excel skills Benefits Paid Time Off programs Health and welfare benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life, andShort- and Long-Term Disability Flexible Spending Accounts for eligible health care and dependent care expenses Family benefits such as adoption assistance and paid parental leave Defined contribution retirement plans with employer match and other financial wellness programs Educational Assistance Program Base compensation listed within the listed pay range based on factors such as qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and/or training Premium pay such as shift, on call, and more based on a teammate's job Incentive pay for select positions Opportunity for annual increases based on performance Company Overview Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is a nationally recognized academic medical center and health system based in Winston-Salem, NC, part of Advocate Health, the third-largest nonprofit health system in the United States.
