[Remote] AI/Machine Learning Engineer Senior
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly skilled engineer for their Artificial Intelligence Center. This role involves leading the development and deployment of AI solutions to drive business value and innovation, requiring a blend of technical expertise and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with business stakeholders to identify opportunities and develop AI solutions
- Modeling complex business and engineering problems using machine learning and feature engineering techniques
- Deploying AI capabilities and tracking projects through to completion
- Implementing best technical practices from the fields of machine learning and software engineering
- Creating knowledge materials to disseminate best practices to other AI and data science teams
- Meeting with data science leaders to teach and discuss best practices
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with at least 5 years of professional experience. Alternatively, a Master's degree with 3 years of professional experience
- Significant experience in applying machine learning techniques to business problems (natural language processing, deep learning, anomaly detection, reinforcement learning)
- Experience with Python, Typescript, or compiled languages like C++, Golang, etc
- Experience with developing software and software engineering best practices
- Must be a US Citizen
- Experience working with Agile methodologies and projects
- Superlative communication and interpersonal skills
- Master's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure), specifically containerizing and deploying AI/ML models
- Certifications in AI/ML or related fields (e.g., TensorFlow Developer Certificate, AWS Certified Machine Learning)
- Experience leading a team of researchers and engineers
- Familiarity with common Python libraries used for developing reinforcement learning applications: Gymnasium, rllib, Stable Baselines, RL Coach, etc
- Experience with the design, implementation, and evaluation of models, agents, and software prototypes for real-world AI
- Proven ability to bridge fundamental research into products. History of addressing real-world problems by integrating novel research
