Production Planner

About the role

As a Production Planner, you will play a crucial role in optimising the company's manufacturing processes and ensuring efficient production planning and scheduling. This full-time position is based in Kempas, Johor, where you will work closely with the operations team to deliver high-quality products and meet customer demands.

What you'll be doing

  • Plan and schedule daily/weekly production activities to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Coordinate with production, purchasing, and sales teams to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Monitor material availability, inventory levels, and update ERP systems.
  • Track production progress, resolve scheduling issues, and adjust plans when needed.
  • Analyse capacity and identify bottlenecks to improve efficiency.
  • Plan production to meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Create and update production planning documents, work orders, and BOM accuracy.
  • Responsible for QMS of the planning department documentation.

What we're looking for
  1. Relevant degree in Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  2. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or a similar role within the manufacturing industry
  3. Proficient in using production planning and scheduling software, as well as data analysis tools
  4. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  6. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  7. Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
