It is closest in nature to “Legacy Observability Agent role”, but still distinct. Key Cloud Telemetry Highlights: Core Focus Areas - Kubernetes control plane & CRDs - Telemetry routing & management APIs - High‑throughput cloud telemetry (logs, metrics, traces) - Edge / air‑gapped environments - Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) Strong Technical Expectations - 5+ years Kubernetes ecosystem & telemetry infrastructure - OpenTelemetry + Prometheus - Envoy, service mesh, telemetry proxies - Store‑and‑forward architectures - Go / C++ / Java / Python (Go strongly preferred) Nature of Work - Building Kubernetes‑native management layers - Translating high‑level telemetry intent → runtime configs - Designing scalable control planes, not agents only - OSS contribution is a strong expectation Mandatory Skills: Enterprise Kubernetes Experience: 5-8 Years Compensation: The expected compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $160,000. Final compensation will depend on various factors, including geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience.
