Manufacturing Plant Seeks Experienced Quality Engineer

Job Summary

Progressive Technology, a leading manufacturing plant, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality and safety before they reach the market. As a Quality Engineer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to improve processes, maintain quality control standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes to ensure that products meet or exceed customer specifications.

  • Conduct inspections and audits on production lines and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.

  • Analyze quality data and produce reports to identify trends, areas of improvement, and potential risks.

  • Lead root cause analysis investigations when defects or issues are identified and implement corrective actions.

  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.

  • Support the creation and maintenance of quality documentation, including control plans, standard operating procedures, and inspection reports.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations, including ISO 9001 and other quality management systems.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

  • Train and mentor production staff on quality standards, processes, and techniques.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Quality Engineer, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies, including Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and ISO 9001.

  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality control tools (e.g., SPC, Minitab, or similar software).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Experience

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a quality engineering role, ideally within the manufacturing sector.

  • Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and knowledge of industry standards and regulations.

  • Hands-on experience with product inspections, testing, and root cause analysis.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position with standard working hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

  • Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required to meet production deadlines.
