Lead Power BI Developer

We are seeking an experienced Lead Power BI Developer with extensive hands-on experience in Power BI, Power BI Server, and a deep understanding of the Microsoft Azure stack. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, expertise in DAX queries, data modelling, and a proven track record of leading and delivering insightful data visualisations and business intelligence solutions. Preferred experience in the CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) industry, particularly within the Supply Chain domain, is highly desirable.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of advanced Power BI reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights.
  • Manage and optimise Power BI Server for enhanced performance and scalability.
  • Lead junior developers and guide best practices in Power BI development.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data analysis and deliver comprehensive solutions that meet those needs.
  • Utilise Microsoft Azure stack technologies to ensure seamless integration and data consistency across various platforms.
  • Design and construct complex data models to improve data analytics and reporting capabilities.
  • Write advanced DAX queries to extract and manipulate data for complex reporting requirements.
  • Maintain and support existing Power BI solutions, making strategic improvements as business needs evolve.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Power BI with other digital solutions and drive innovation.
  • Demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills, effectively communicating and managing expectations across various levels of the organisation.
  • Utilise storytelling skills with data visualisation to translate complex data into compelling business insights that resonate with stakeholders.
  • Exhibit a learner mindset, staying abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies.

Requirements:

  • 6-8 years of hands-on experience with Power BI, Power BI Server, Power Platform, Power Apps, Co-pilot.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with implementing Co-Pilot on digital products.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure stack, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, and Databricks.
  • Advanced proficiency in DAX queries and data modelling.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Advanced level proficiency in SQL querying and the ability to write and optimise complex SQL queries for data analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Gen AI capabilities, such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, and the ability to leverage these tools to enhance productivity and decision-making.
  • Experience leading a high-performing team of Power BI developers.
  • Experience with agile methodology.
  • Must have experience working in Power Apps, Power Platform Server and Power Automate.


Desired Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree is preferred, with a specialisation in Business Intelligence or related areas.
  • Good to have Microsoft Certifications in Business Intelligence or Data Analysis.
  • Preferred experience working in the CPG industry, with a strong understanding of Supply Chain.
