Role Description The Government & Military Freight Forwarding Sales Executive is responsible for driving profitable business growth across government, defense, and military logistics markets. This role focuses on developing freight forwarding opportunities supporting government agencies, military programs, defense contractors, and regulated transportation environments. This position manages the full sales lifecycle from prospecting and discovery through solution development, pricing, negotiation, onboarding, and operational handoff. Key Responsibilities • Build and maintain a revenue generating pipeline within government and defense logistics markets • Develop new business opportunities with government agencies, military programs, defense contractors, and related organizations • Sell logistics solutions including • International Air Freight • Ocean Freight • Customs Brokerage • Warehousing • Specialized Transportation Solutions • Conduct customer discovery and develop tailored forwarding solutions • Prepare pricing strategies, proposals, and transportation solutions • Negotiate contracts and close profitable business opportunities • Partner closely with Operations, Compliance, and Leadership teams to ensure successful execution and customer satisfaction • Maintain accurate CRM activity, forecasting, and pipeline reporting • Develop long term customer relationships across regulated logistics environments Qualifications • 3 to 7+ years of freight forwarding or international logistics sales experience • Government or Military logistics sales experience within freight forwarding environments required • Experience supporting government agencies, defense programs, military logistics operations, or related transportation environments preferred • Existing customer relationships and industry network strongly preferred • Strong understanding of freight forwarding operations and international transportation processes • Hunter mentality with strong prospecting and consultative sales skills • Experience managing pipeline activity, forecasting, and CRM systems • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills • Ability to communicate effectively with executive decision makers and government related stakeholders • Ability to work independently while collaborating cross functionally
