About the position

In the Warehouse Operations role at Target, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for ensuring the efficient processing and distribution of merchandise to stores and guests. This position requires adherence to all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all team members. You will participate in safety training sessions to learn how to operate safely in a fast-paced warehouse setting. Your primary duties will include packing, loading, and shipping items, ensuring accurate processing of merchandise, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. You will be expected to work quickly and efficiently to handle freight and move inventory throughout the warehouse, while also engaging in problem-solving to support continuous improvement initiatives. As a Warehouse Worker or Warehouse Associate, your responsibilities may vary based on business needs, and you will be considered for either role based on your application responses. The job requires physical stamina, as you will frequently lift and carry merchandise weighing between 35-50 lbs, and occasionally up to 60 lbs. You will also need to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during your shifts. A positive and respectful attitude is essential, whether working independently or as part of a team. Basic math skills, the ability to read labels and product documentation, and proficiency in using computer systems or handheld devices are also required. Good communication skills in English are necessary to follow safety protocols and instructions effectively. For Warehouse Workers specifically, you will need to be trained to operate powered equipment safely and may work at heights of up to 40 feet. If you are working in a Food Distribution Center, you should be prepared to work in temperature-controlled environments, including refrigerators and freezers, for the majority of your shift.
