Equipment Management Specialist / Vessel Specialist

A well-established international shipping and logistics organization is looking for an experienced Equipment Management Specialist to support regional container operations and planning activities.

This opportunity is suitable for candidates with experience in liner operations, shipping agency, container planning, or logistics coordination who are seeking regional exposure and career growth.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Planning

  • Manage daily container equipment operations across ports and depots
  • Plan and forecast regional empty container allocation
  • Coordinate receiving and delivery schedules based on operational requirements
  • Monitor equipment circulation and utilization efficiency

Inventory & Cost Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and container tracking
  • Prepare operational reports, volume statistics, and cost analysis
  • Handle repair, storage, and repositioning related settlements
  • Identify opportunities for operational cost optimization

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Liaise with customers, depots, and operational teams for smooth execution
  • Coordinate transloading, cargo surveys, and insurance-related matters
  • Support reefer troubleshooting and emergency operational arrangements when required

Continuous Improvement

  • Review operational workflows and recommend process improvements
  • Analyze utilization trends and operational performance
  • Ensure compliance with operational standards and procedures

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in shipping, liner operations, logistics, or related industries
  • Candidates with strong container allocation planning experience are highly preferred
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Good communication and coordination abilities
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently
  • Familiarity with ERP/container tracking systems will be an added advantage
