Enrolled Agent / Tax Preparer (Remote – Colorado Based)

Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Enrolled Agent / Tax Preparer to join our dynamic team remotely, with a focus on serving clients based in Colorado. As an Enrolled Agent / Tax Preparer, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, providing expert tax advice, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Your proactive approach and strong understanding of various financial concepts will contribute significantly to our clients’ financial well-being and success. Duties • Prepare, review, and file individual, business, estate planning, and trust tax returns with precision and timeliness • Provide expert guidance on tax planning strategies, including estate planning, wills, trusts, and estate law considerations • Analyze financial data using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar tools to ensure accuracy in tax reporting • Conduct detailed account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger accounting to support accurate financial statements • Assist clients with regulatory reporting requirements related to securities law, non-profit accounting, or corporate accounting standards (GAAP) • Support clients in understanding complex financial concepts such as mergers & acquisitions, private equity investments, or asset management strategies • Collaborate with clients on budgeting, financial analysis, and financial report writing to optimize their financial health • Maintain comprehensive records of all client interactions, tax filings, and audit documentation in compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) standards Qualifications • Active Enrolled Agent certification with a strong background in tax experience and public accounting practices • Proven expertise in tax accounting principles including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and GAAP standards • Familiarity with a wide range of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms for bookkeeping and financial analysis • Demonstrated ability to interpret financial statements and conduct detailed analysis using financial concepts like asset management or investment strategies • Strong understanding of payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and general ledger reconciliation • Excellent analysis skills combined with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining high levels of accuracy and professionalism Join us to make a meaningful impact by helping clients navigate their financial journeys confidently!
