As a Dispatch Router/Combo, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient routing and dispatching of our fleet of trucks, as well as assisting in the coordination of daily operations. Coordinate and schedule the daily routing and dispatching of our fleet of trucks for waste management services. Utilize computer systems and software to track and monitor truck locations and assignments. Communicate with drivers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure efficient and timely delivery of services. Monitor and track truck performance, fuel usage, and maintenance needs to optimize efficiency and minimize costs. Assist in the development and implementation of route optimization strategies to improve overall effectiveness of waste management operations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all dispatch activities, including truck assignments, driver logs, and service requests. Respond promptly and effectively to any service disruptions or emergencies, working to resolve issues quickly and minimize any impact on customers. Collaborate with other departments, such as customer service and maintenance, to ensure seamless coordination and communication throughout the waste management process. Identify and report any potential safety hazards or concerns related to truck routes or operations. Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve dispatching and routing processes. Train and mentor new dispatching and routing team members to ensure a high level of performance and efficiency. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication among all team members. Uphold the company's commitment to sustainability and responsible waste management practices in all aspects of the job.
