Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Cloud Penetration Tester with a strong focus on cybersecurity to join our remote team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying vulnerabilities, evaluating security measures, and providing solutions to enhance the protection of our clients cloud-based infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough penetration testing of cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, to identify vulnerabilities and provide detailed reports on findings.

  • Assess cloud infrastructure for security weaknesses and suggest actionable remediation steps.

  • Collaborate with other cybersecurity professionals, such as security engineers and architects, to implement security best practices.

  • Create and maintain documentation for penetration testing methodologies, findings, and reports.

  • Engage with clients to understand security requirements and communicate complex technical issues in a clear, concise manner.

  • Develop and execute advanced testing techniques, such as social engineering, reverse engineering, and network exploitation.

  • Stay up to date on the latest security trends, tools, and techniques to continually improve penetration testing strategies.

  • Assist in the creation of incident response plans and provide expertise in security breach investigations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in performing penetration testing on cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Strong understanding of cloud security architecture, risk management, and best practices.

  • Proficient in penetration testing tools such as Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nessus, and Nmap.

  • Hands-on experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) to create custom exploits and automated tests.

  • Familiarity with cloud-native security solutions, such as AWS IAM, Azure Active Directory, and Google Cloud Identity and Access Management.

  • In-depth knowledge of security standards, frameworks, and protocols such as NIST, ISO 27001, and OWASP.

  • Experience with vulnerability management and reporting.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in penetration testing or cybersecurity-related roles, with a focus on cloud environments.

  • Certifications such as Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or AWS Certified Security Specialty are highly desirable.

  • Demonstrable experience in identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities in complex cloud infrastructures.

Working Hours

  • This is a full-time remote position.

  • Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (local time), with flexibility for occasional after-hours work depending on project deadlines.
