Chief Financial Officer REMOTE FROM ANYWHERE IN THE USA

Chief Financial Officer

Build the financial engine for a category-defining insights company.

aytm is an insights automation platform helping the world’s most ambitious companies move from idea to market faster. We partner with enterprise leaders, and we are scaling with purpose, recognized as a 2024 Inc. 5000 Fastest-Growing Private Company and a 2025 Inc. Best Places to Work.

We are entering our next phase of growth and are seeking a high-impact CFO to architect the financial foundation that matches our ambition. This is not a maintenance role. It is a builder’s opportunity to elevate financial performance, sharpen strategy, and shape the narrative of a modern hybrid SaaS business in the AI era.

You will report directly to the President and assume full ownership of an established finance and accounting function, with the mandate to evolve it into a strategic, world-class organization.

What You Will Own
A step-change in financial excellence
Design a finance function that operates at a fundamentally high standard, with intelligent automation where it adds value, disciplined processes where it matters, and real-time visibility into the business. Every metric should be trusted. Every question should have a fast, defensible answer.

Pricing as a strategic advantage
Lead a true pricing discipline across our hybrid model of subscription, consumption, and services. This is a high-leverage opportunity to unlock growth and margin in close partnership with go-to-market leadership.

The company’s financial narrative
Shape a clear, compelling story of performance and trajectory through ARR, NRR, cohorts, unit economics, segment margins, and cash flow. Translate complexity into insight. Ensure the financials do not just report the business. They explain it and guide it.

A modern forecasting partnership
Build a high-trust, high-accuracy forecasting engine alongside revenue leadership. Establish shared ownership, drive accountability, and enable better decisions through clarity and confidence.

Who You Are

  • A proven CFO or senior finance leader who has guided a bootstrapped or founder-led SaaS company through critical growth inflection points. You have lived the trade-offs and can articulate what matters and why.
  • A leader with 15+ years of progressive finance experience, fluent in SaaS metrics and economics including ARR, NRR, cohort analysis, and consumption models.
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to build strong partnerships with revenue leaders while balancing financial rigor with empathy for growth.
  • Drawn to a mid-sized company where you can operate strategically while staying close to execution. You want to build, not just oversee.
  • A modern finance executive who already integrates AI into workflows including modeling, forecasting, and reporting, and who has a clear perspective on how AI will reshape the finance function.
  • A leader others trust deeply, who raises the bar, develops talent, and creates followership through clarity and integrity.

Why This Role

  • Real impact: Shape the financial strategy of a profitable, scaling hybrid SaaS company with global reach
  • Meaningful complexity: A hybrid revenue model, strong product, and enterprise customers create rich optimization opportunities
  • Operator’s seat: Direct partnership with executive leadership, with full ownership and the mandate to build
  • AI-forward environment: Help define what a modern finance function looks like in an AI-native company
