CCT Nurse
As a CCT Nurse with AMR, you will play a vital role in delivering high-acuity, patient-centered care in the dynamic environment of critical care transport.
American Medical
Response (AMR) is a leader in emergency and non-emergency medical transportation services, providing critical care and ambulance services across numerous U.S. communities to ensure timely and effective medical assistance and patient transport. In this position, you will bring your advanced clinical expertise to the field, caring for critically ill and injured patients during inter-facility and specialty transports. Working within AMR’s Healthcare & Medical Services department, you will be responsible for comprehensive assessment, stabilization, and continuous monitoring of patients requiring intensive support during ground or air transport.
You will manage complex clinical situations, including ventilator support, hemodynamic monitoring, titration of vasoactive and other critical medications, and advanced airway management in collaboration with medical control. Utilizing specialized transport equipment, you will ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based care from bedside to bedside, often in time-sensitive and resource-limited environments. You will collaborate closely with EMTs, paramedics, dispatch, physicians, and facility care teams to coordinate care, communicate patient status, and ensure seamless transitions between sending and receiving facilities.
Strong communication and documentation skills are essential, as you will provide clear reports, maintain detailed electronic medical records, and offer education and reassurance to patients and their families throughout the transport experience. At AMR, you will be part of a culture that emphasizes teamwork, compassion, professionalism, and employee safety. You will adhere to strict safety and infection-control protocols, participate in regular training and simulation exercises, and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
In alignment with AMR’s commitment to community service, you will help represent the organization in the communities it serves, providing expert critical care while demonstrating empathy, respect, and cultural sensitivity. This role offers opportunities for professional growth, including advanced clinical training, specialty transport education, mentorship, and potential pathways into leadership within the Emergency Management and critical care transport arenas. As a CCT Nurse at AMR, you will leverage your critical care nursing background to make a meaningful impact on patients and communities, delivering life-sustaining care when it matters most.
