Job Summary:

The Elite Job is seeking physically fit, dependable, and detail-oriented individuals to join our growing team as Baggage Handlers at King Shaka International Airport, Durban. In this critical role, you will ensure the smooth, safe, and timely handling of passengers luggage to and from aircrafts. Key Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload luggage, cargo, and freight from aircrafts safely and efficiently.

  • Operate airport equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and carts.

  • Transport baggage to designated areas within the airport.

  • Ensure proper tagging, sorting, and routing of baggage to avoid misplacements.

  • Handle oversized or fragile baggage with care.

  • Assist with aircraft cabin cleaning as required.

  • Adhere strictly to airport safety and security protocols.

  • Work collaboratively with airline and airport staff to meet tight schedules and maintain service excellence.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum Grade 10 or equivalent education.

  • Valid drivers license is advantageous.

  • Ability to lift heavy items (up to 32 kg) repeatedly.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A safety-conscious mindset and willingness to follow procedures strictly.

  • High level of integrity and a responsible attitude.

Experience:

  • Prior experience in baggage handling or a similar manual labor role is preferred but not essential.
