Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Associate/Vice President, Short Rates Sales to join our APAC FICC Sales team. The successful candidate will drive client engagement, originate trade ideas, and deliver best-in-class execution to institutional clients across the region, with a focus on repo and financing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage strong client relationships across hedge funds, asset managers, banks, corporates, and other regional institutional investors.
  • Originate and distribute a range of short rates and financing products, including flow repo, bond forwards, total return swaps (TRS), sovereign, structured product, credit and EM financing, and collateral solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Deliver actionable trade ideas and market colour, leveraging collaboration with Trading, Research, Strategy, and Structuring teams.
  • Act as a product specialist in repo and short rates, complementing broader sales coverage and enhancing client engagement across APAC.
  • Identify new business opportunities, deepen wallet share, and support strategic growth initiatives in the region.
  • Provide clients with market updates, pricing, and trade execution, ensuring seamless end-to-end service.
  • Partner closely with Trading desks to support client liquidity provision and optimize funding across internal cash and financing platforms.
  • Ensure adherence to internal risk, compliance, and governance frameworks, maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with Global Markets teams regionally and globally to ensure alignment across product, liquidity, and client coverage strategies.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of experience in short rates, repo, or financing sales within a leading global bank or financial institution.
  • Strong understanding of securities financing products, including repo, bond forwards, TRS, sovereign, structured product, and credit/EM financing.
  • Demonstrated ability to originate, distribute, and execute financing solutions with institutional clients.
  • Established or developing relationships with hedge funds, banks, and institutional clients across APAC.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to identify client needs and deliver relevant financing solutions.
  • Good understanding of regional funding markets, liquidity dynamics, and collateral optimization.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; ability to articulate complex products clearly.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with multiple stakeholders.
