About the Role We're looking for an Analyst/Associate Valuation Actuary who is responsible for actuarial work supporting the development, ongoing reporting, governance, and documentation of Prosperity's U.S GAAP, Statutory, and Tax financials. You'll play a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and effective support of internal and external stakeholders. We're seeking a candidate who brings strong annuity product knowledge, hands-on valuation and modeling experience, and a desire to deepen actuarial experience in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment. What You'll Do Financial Reporting & Valuation Support • Support the development, reporting, and documentation of U.S. GAAP, Statutory, and Tax financials • Demonstrate a strong understanding of insurance products and actuarial terminology • Assist in maintaining detailed documentation for key assumptions underlying financial results • Build actuarial expertise in the interpretation and analysis of financial results Modeling, Systems & Tools • Enhance ALFA and ArcVal modeling knowledge to support financial reporting requirements • Partner with actuarial modeling peers to convert ArcVal Statutory valuation models to ALFA • Participate in the development, optimization, and maintenance of tools used to assess earnings changes • Maintain hands-on involvement in coding, validating, and maintaining valuation systems Governance, Controls & Compliance • Assist in establishing and maintaining controls over valuation systems, processes, and databases to ensure compliance with reporting requirements • Support external auditor review processes related to financial reporting • Maintain current knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting financial reporting • Monitor regulatory developments and recommend, develop, and implement reporting changes as needed Collaboration & Continuous Improvement • Work collaboratively within the actuarial team to manage concurrent deadlines and organizational priorities • Seek opportunities to enhance processes, controls, and analytical approaches • Perform additional duties as needed to support organizational goals and objectives What You'll Bring • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent education and experience required • Must be working towards and making satisfactory progress toward ASA or FSA designation (FSA preferred) • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ArcVal, MG ALFA or other similar modeling platform • Strong knowledge of annuity products • Must have a minimum of 4 years' experience in a professional actuarial role with a variety of insurance products, including knowledge of the LDTI, FAS 60, FAS 91 and FAS 97 accounting models. • FAS133 and MRB experience is preferred • Hands-on experience coding, validating and maintaining valuation systems • Prior experience with end-to-end development of PGAAP Financials, including preparation of all the relevant documentation for management / external audit governance is a plus Core Competencies • Collaboration & Professional Presence Proven ability to interact professionally and effectively in a team-based environment • Actuarial Communication & Interpretation Ability to explain complex actuarial concepts and results in a coherent and accessible manner • Planning, Prioritization & Execution Experience managing concurrent deadlines and multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail • Drive, Curiosity, & Continuous Improvement Demonstrates a strong work ethic, seeks out challenges, and actively looks for opportunities to improve processes, tools, and outcomes What We Offer • A collaborative, inclusive environment that values authenticity, accountability, and partnership • The opportunity to join the company at an exciting stage of growth, where colleagues are empowered to build what's next • A variable compensation package with a base range of $95K–$140K • A competitive benefits package including comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage; an HSA and 401(k) company match; paid time off; and employer-paid life and disability insurance • Remote/hybrid work arrangement At Prosperity, we are committed to equal employment opportunity and encourage people from all backgrounds to apply.
