Amazon Inventory Specialist - Warehouse Role

Job Summary

Amazon is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to join our dynamic warehouse operations team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that inventory is accurately tracked, monitored, and managed to support the timely fulfillment of customer orders. Key Responsibilities

  • Track, record, and manage inventory levels across assigned warehouse zones.

  • Conduct regular inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, and report any inconsistencies.

  • Coordinate with receiving and shipping teams to ensure accurate product movement.

  • Maintain warehouse organization to optimize product location and retrieval.

  • Use handheld scanners and inventory management software to input and track data.

  • Assist with damaged goods reporting and resolution.

  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory processes.

  • Support cycle counts, audits, and overall inventory control strategies.

  • Communicate inventory trends or issues to management and suggest improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Basic proficiency with computers and inventory systems.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to lift up to 49 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Experience

  • Prior experience in inventory control, warehousing, or logistics preferred but not required.

  • Familiarity with warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, RF scanners) is a plus.

  • On-the-job training will be provided.

Working Hours

  • Full-time and part-time positions available.

  • Shifts may vary and can include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
